The Pier of Wolves: History and Gateway to Paradise

The Lobos Island Pier is the umbilical cord that connects this natural sanctuary to Fuerteventura. More than just a docking point, this spot holds the history of the old fishermen of Fuerteventura and the lighthouse keepers who, since 1865, depended on this pier to receive supplies and fresh water in their isolation.

Today, it's the official gateway to the Natural Park. Upon disembarking from the ferry, you'll find yourself at the foot of the trails leading to the Caldera Volcano and El Puertito. Besides being the checkpoint for required permits, its waters are so crystal clear that they function like a natural aquarium: from the very edge of the dock, you can observe the rich marine biodiversity before even beginning your hike.

Tip: This is the meeting point for the return trip; we recommend arriving 10 minutes before your boat departs to enjoy the views of the Corralejo Dunes from the sea.
